HALEU EIS

U.S. Department of Energy Activities in Support of Commercial Production of High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium

In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) published a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which analyzes the potential impacts of DOE’s Proposed Action to acquire high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) for commercial nuclear energy use and demonstration projects, and to establish domestic commercial HALEU production.

The references used to prepare the Draft EIS are available for review on this website. The documents are in PDF format.
